Private Lessons



While group classes are a good introduction to the Zydeco/Cajun dance forms and simulate a real dance situation by giving you the opportunity to practice with a variety of partners, serious students are encouraged to augment group classes with private lessons. Private lessons will fast forward your technique and execution of comlex moves and give you the confidence and skill to shine on the dance floor.

Private Lessons for One

For the beginning dancer, private lessons for one provide an intense one-on-one interaction with the teacher that help you work out the kinks in your basic technique and give you the opportunity to practice:

• weight shifts
• rhythm
• proper framing
• connection technique with your partner

For intermediate and advanced dancers, private lessons for one are also an excellent way to refine moves you have learned in group classes and to practice and perfect the flourishes and subtleties that give your dance a unique and personal style.

Private Lessons for Two

Whether you are beginning or intermediate, I recommend private lessons for two if you and your partner are fairly close in skill levels. In private lessons for two, you will dance with your partner, as I coach you.
